Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. Her articles from Charleston concerning how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with care, caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell was honored by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. After her time at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative reporter. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. As well as her job as the lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell also contributes to NBC News' Today and also for Dateline NBC. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of shows that were pre-showarrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
